Water Gap Country Club - This golf oriented resort, offers golf access to members, public and tournament play. PENNSYLVANIA STATE PARKS

Beltsville State Park - 2,972-acres - Carbon County - Beltzville Lake, with 19.8 miles of shoreline, is seven miles long and features 949 acres of fishing, swimming, water sports and unlimited horsepower boating. The park is located along the Pohopoco Creek with recreation areas around the lake. Along the shore you can sometimes find fossils. Big Pocono State Park - 1,306 acres - Monroe County - Rugged terrain on Camelback Mountain, with a paved, scenic drive encircling the mountaintop and providing magnificent views. CAUTION: Steep grades. Do not attempt this drive in vehicles with trailers in tow. Gouldsboro State Park - 3,050 acres - Monroe & Wayne Counties - The park includes the 250-acre Gouldsboro Lake and 54 acres of land managed the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission. The name Gouldsboro comes from the village north of the park that was named for Jay Gould (1836-1892). A native of New York, Gould acquired a very large fortune that by 1892 included ownership of ten percent of all railroad track in the country. One of the railroads he owned was the Erie-Lackawanna. Hickory Run State Park - 15,500-acres - Carbon County - If you enjoy scenic areas, the striking 16 acre Boulder Field is a National Natural Landmark. This large park has over 40 miles of hiking trails, three natural areas (Boulder Field, Mud Run, Mud Swamp) and miles of trout streams. Learn about lumbering history, observe wildlife or visit Hawk Falls. Mud Run is 1,335 acres of mountain trout stream lined with rhododendron and eastern hemlock. Lehigh Gorge State Park - 4,548 acres - Carbon County - The Lehigh Gorge Trail follows the Lehigh River along more than 25 miles of abandoned railroad grade, providing opportunities for hiking, bicycling, sightseeing and photography. The trail is closed to motor vehicles, with parking provided in White Haven, Rockport and Glen Onoko. The Lehigh is one of the most scenic rivers in America, featuring Class II-III whitewater. Promised Land State Park - 3,000 acres - Pike County - Promised Land State Park is in the Pocono Plateau, 1,800 feet above sea level, and is surrounded by 12,464 acres of Pennsylvania’s Delaware State forest, including a natural area. The forest consists primarily of beech, oak, maple and hemlock trees. Two lakes and several small streams add to the park’s outstanding scenic beauty. Prompton State Park - 789 acres - Wayne County -- Prompton is the site of a future state park, still under development by the Army Corps of Engineers. Plans call for trails, picnicking, hunting, viewing scenery and observing wildlife. Tobyhanna State Park - 5,440 acres - Monroe & Wayne Counties - Tobyhanna State Park includes the 170-acre Tobyhanna Lake. Tobyhanna is derived from an American Indian word meaning "a stream whose banks are fringed with alder. Bender/Black Bear Swamps is 1,600 acres of acidic shrub swamps; openings contain spagnum moss, rare plants and animals. P.O.
